Handsworth Parramore lifted the Northern Counties East League Cup beating Cleethorpes Town 4-3 at Staveley’s Inkersall Road ground following a remarkable late comeback.

Brody Robertson gave Cleethorpes a 16th minute lead and although Sam Smith restored parity from close range just past the half hour mark.

Handsworth looked to heading for defeat when Robertson scored twice after the break to complete his hat-trick to put Cleethorpes 3-1 up on 67 minutes.

Cleethorpes were reduced to ten-men on 71 minutes.

Handsworth made their numerical advantage count when Kieran Wells pulled one back with a header with five minutes remaining.

Wells then thumped home the equaliser as the clock ticked onto 90 minutes to force what looked like extra-time.

However, in the fourth minute of time added on Sam Smith won it from the penalty spot following a handball to complete an amazing turnaround.
