Fourth from bottom Hallam prepare for Saturday’s home game with Pontefract Colleries having to shake off a sense of frustration following a midweek 2-2 draw against Dronfield Town at Sandygate.

A late goal saw Hallam grab a share of the spoils but they were disappointed not to have come away with all three points. They started well when Liam Morris headed in from a cross at the back post on four minutes but were pegged back by a contentious penalty, put away by Richie Marples. The visitors turned the game on its head with a second spot again converted by Marples in the second half. Hallam fought back with Jonny Roper rattling the bar, while new signing Jason Parlin failed to make the most of a good chance with only the keeper to beat.

With four minutes left Hallam equalised following fine play on the left side that saw Roper go past two defenders before rounding the keeper.

Parkgate bounced back from a run of five defeats with a 3-0 win over Brighouse Town. Scott Whittington fired the Steelmen into the lead. Ben Langford doubled the advantage before Michael Jones sealed the win midway. Worsbrough Bridge Athletic were held 0-0 by 10-men Cleethorpes Town.
