Hallam turned in an excellent all round performance to come away with 3-1 victory at Knaresborough Town and make it seven points front the last nine.

Aaron Moxam gave Julian Watts’s side an 18th minute lead from the penalty spot but Town equalised on 47 minutes when Steve Bromley hooked the ball home.

Moxam restored Hallam’s lead five minutes later with his fourth goal in three games.

And Julian Watts’ men wrapped up the points in the last minute, defender Scott Hartley thumping the ball home on his debut from Conor Sellars pull-back.

Division One leaders Athersley Recreation trailed to bottom of the table Selby Town but hit back to win 2-1 with a Jason Bentley double on 73 (pen) and 80 minutes.

Rossington Main’s hopes of a third win on the spin ended in disappointment as promotion chasing Albion Sports left Oxford Street with a 2-1 victory. Alex Cusack gave Sports a sixth minute lead which they doubled through McKoy Lyn’s superb volley. Main replied on 51 minutes when a defender turned a Niall Doyle free-kick into his own net but couldn’t come up with an equaliser.

AFC Emley saw two points slip away as Louth Town came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at the Welfare ground after Richard Haigh (penalty) and Josh Ingham had put the hosts 2-0 up inside the opening 10 TUESDAY - Div One: Worsbrough Bridge Athletic v Hallam.
