Hallam turned in an excellent all round performance to come away with 3-1 victory at Knaresborough Town and make it seven points front the last nine.
Aaron Moxam gave Julian Watts’s side an 18th minute lead from the penalty spot but Town equalised on 47 minutes when Steve Bromley hooked the ball home.
Moxam restored Hallam’s lead five minutes later with his fourth goal in three games.
And Julian Watts’ men wrapped up the points in the last minute, defender Scott Hartley thumping the ball home on his debut from Conor Sellars pull-back.
Parkgate climbed up to ninth in the Premier Division table after a 2-0 home win over Pickering Town made it nine points from the last 12 available. Sam Smith broke the deadlock with his sixth goal in as many games before Craig Fletcher sealed the points.
Maltby Main continued their climb from the bottom end of the table when a fine 1-1 draw at Glasshoughton stretched their run to just one defeat in six, thanks to a Brian Cusworth’s stoppage time equaliser.
Worksop Parramore came away from promotion rivals Brighouse Town with a 2-2 but may well feel disappointed not to have made it all three after twice leading through Lee Thompson and Scott Bates efforts.
Staveley Miner sWelfare saw their six-match winning league streak brought to a halt with a 4-1 home defeat against Thackley despite a Richard Patterson goal. Nicky Matthews scored a hat-trick for Thackley with Jordan Missin getting the other.
It’s now seven games without a win for struggling Armthorpe Welfare as Leo Fortune-West’s men lost out 3-2 at home against promotion chasing Scarborough Athletic despite goals from Paul Ashton and a James Walker penalty. And Retford United were also beaten at home 3-1 against Liversedge where Brett Lucas scored their consolation.
Division One leaders Athersley Recreation trailed to bottom of the table Selby Town but hit back to win 2-1 with a Jason Bentley double on 73 (pen) and 80 minutes.
Dinnington Town had to settle for 1-1 home draw against Appleby Frodingham. Greg Taylor gave Steve Toyne’s side a sixth minute lead but Chris McDonald pounced a minute from time to equalise.
Rossington Main’s hopes of a third win on the spin ended in disappointment as promotion chasing Albion Sports left Oxford Street with a 2-1 victory. Alex Cusack gave Sports a sixth minute lead which they doubled through McKoy Lyn’s superb volley. Main replied on 51 minutes when a defender turned a Niall Doyle free-kick into his own net but couldn’t come up with an equaliser.
AFC Emley saw two points slip away as Louth Town came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at the Welfare ground after Richard Haigh (penalty) and Josh Ingham had put the hosts 2-0 up inside the opening 10 TUESDAY - Div One: Worsbrough Bridge Athletic v Hallam.
