HANDSWORTH have lost their appeal against expulsion from the Baris Northern Counties East League.
They attended an appeal hearing at FA headquarters in London yesterday but the panel’s decision was upheld.
Handsworth were First Division champions which offers a step up to the Premier Division. However, they were informed by the league they were being booted out altogether due to their Olivers Mount Ground not meeting the required grading.
Handsworth will now be relegated to Step 7 of the Football Pyramid, possibly the Central Midlands League. Worksop Parramore could now be promoted to the NCEL Premier Division although that is yet to be confirmed.
