Sue Smith scored direct from a corner for a second successive game as Doncaster Rovers Belles drew with FA Cup semi-finalists Everton in FAWSL2.
Smith gave the visitors a first half lead but Kelly Jones’ equaliser meant the Belles dropped points for the first time this season.
Nicola Hobbs also saved a penalty to help preserve Belles’ unbeaten record.
Smith went close on 13 minutes, cutting inside to unleash a dipping left-footed strike which Megan Walsh did well to tip over the bar.
Doncaster were in front from the resultant corner though – Smith’s cross curling straight in at the back post.
Everton had the chance to level on 16 minutes when Rhiannon Roberts tripped Lucy Whipp in the area, but Hobbs dived low to her left to save Michelle Hinnigan’s penalty.
Belles’ top scorer Courtney Sweetman-Kirk nodded across goal on 33 minutes but Bethany England could not keep her header down.
Jones levelled for the Blues on 56 minutes, racing on to Simone Magill’s defence-splitting low cross to stab into the bottom corner.
Hobbs came to Doncaster’s rescue again on 73 minutes, somehow getting a hand to substitute Lauren Davies’ fierce strike after Whipp’s square ball.
Everton could not find a winner, however, meaning a third straight league draw for Andy Spence’s side.
