Doncaster Belles’ under-15s continued their perfect start to their 2013/14 campaign with a 13th straight victory, after a 4-1 win over South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

A stunning first half performance saw Doncaster four goals to the good against their closest rivals in the league.

Wednesday’s ‘keeper had pulled off a couple of top drawer saves, however, was left stranded when Kirsty Nelthorpe fired into the top corner in the 10th minute.

Libby Watson got the second goal as she got beyond her defender and fired into the roof of the net.

Wednesday later broke at speed and forced Sam Boulton into a full-length save.

Nelthorpe later added her second goal before Chloe Dean stepped out of defence and fired home from 30 yards.

In the second half the hosts pushed forward and pulled a goal back from a corner.

However, the Belles - who saw two efforts crash against the bar - clinched a vital victory on their travels.
