Their South Yorkshire rivals showed some neat touches in midfield with Doncaster ‘keeper Sam Boulton having to come off her line to clear a dangerous throughball.
It needed two quality strikes from Kirsty Nelthorpe to give Donny a 2-0 interval lead - the first a bullet header followed by a lob.
Doncaster gave a better second half performance as Jess Hassall broke free to score in the opening minutes.
