It’s the first ever Baris NCE League groundhop this weekend in association with GroundhopUK
Kick-off times are being staggered for the selected games allowing the groundhoppers to get to as many matches as possible which should see gates increased.
Local teams involved include Dinnington Town, Parkgate, Hallam, Worsbrough Bridge and Staveley MW.
The first of those matches is Eccleshill v Dinningtionkicking off at 10.45 in a game which should be defender Andy Sykes’ make his 400th appearance for Town.
Parkgate have a 10.30am start tomorrow at Maltby Main where the Steelmen bid to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat at Armthorpe Welfare. Maltby are five points from safety with just four games to play.
Staveley Miners Welfare entertain Pickering Town at Inkersall Road with a 1-30pm kick-off as the Miners look to put behind them back to back cup defeats against Dunston UTS in the FA Vase semi final and a 2-1 League Cup exit at Barton Town Old Boys.
Hallam have a late afternoon start when they entertain Teversal at 4.45pm.
The Blues hope to end a run of three successive home defeats. They have won only one of the last nine at home.
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic host Rossington Main at Park Road on Saturday at 7.45pm.
For the remainder there’s the traditional 3pm start. Handsworth should make it 13 league wins on the spin and in doing so retain their six point lead at the top of Division One with rock bottom Appleby Frodingham the visitors.
Askern Villa should be confident of bringing their three match losing streak to an end against next to bottom Grimsby Borough, who have lost 13 of 16 away games, though Villa were thumped 7-1 at Grimsby in the reverse fixture.
Armthorpe Welfare go into the home clash against struggling Hall Road Rangers in buoyant mood after a 3-0 win over Parkgate on Tuesday.
