Sheffield FC boss Curtis Woodhouse could hand home debuts to three new signings for tonight’s Doodson Sport League Cup first round tie against Division One North strugglers Garforth Town.
Promising youngsters defender Elliot Green, winger Aaron Rice and striker Jordan Thomas have arrived from Blue Square Premier League side Lincoln City on-loan with the trio all playing their part in Club’s 1-0 win at Newcastle Town at the weekend.
Sheffield’s home form has been patchy this season and Woodhouse will see the cup tie as an opportunity to build on their recent improvement on home soil.
Despite winning only five from 12 games in League and cup at Dronfield so far this term, Club are however unbeaten in the last four.
Garforth are struggling both on and off the field. The tie has been switched to Dronfield due to problems with utilities at Cedar Ridge while the West Yorkshire outfit are propping up their respective table and have lost five of the last six games.
Hallam make the short trip to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic for a Baris NCEL Division One clash that should test the Countrymen’s recent improvement.
Julian Watts’ men are unbeaten in the last three following Saturday impressive 3-1 win at Knaresborough Town, a run which has coincided with the return of Aaron Moxam, who has bagged four goals in three games. However, Worsbrough boast the only unbeaten home record in the division with seven wins and two draws from nine league outings at Park Road.
