FOLLOWING three postponements, Sheffield FC finally played their League Cup tie after switching the match to North Ferriby’s ground, but went out in a 6-3 goal spree.

They got off to a bad start going a goal behind inside the first minutes as former Sheffield winger Oliver Banks snapped up a chance. Club battled back with Shaq McKenzie forcing the keeper into a save then Jordan Eagers volleying wide. There was a frantic start to the second half. Nathan Forbes-Swindells headed Club back on level terms. But seconds later Gary Bradshaw restored the hosts lead.

Back came Club on 57 minutes as Steve Woolley made it 2-2. A minute later the home side were in front again, Bradshaw with a simple tap in. Chris Bolder made it 4-2 with a bicycle kick.

Club’s Forbes-Swindells grabbed his second for 4-3. Bradshaw restored the two-goal cushion on 79 minutes to complete his hat-trick before hitting Ferriby’s sixth in the final minute.

In the NCEL, Parkgate were beaten 4-2. Worksop Parramore and Maltby Main drew 1-1. Dinnington Town lost out 2-0 at home against Grimsby Borough.
