Hallam are the early leaders of Division One after a 2-0 home win over NCEL newcomers Westella VIP made it maximum points and no goals conceded from two games.
The visitors made the brighter start but the Countrymen went in front on 25 minutes through Micah Bishop with a tremendous 25-yard strike into the roof of the net for his first goal for the club.
Bishop might well have had a second before the break but scuffed his shot wide.
Hallam dominated the second half doubling the lead on 62 minutes when Bishop turned provider crossing for Callum Greaves to score.
Ryan Hindley’s men might well have added to their lead with Elliott Simpson putting a free-kick just over while Greave headed a chance wide.
Parkgate also made it two wins from two with a superb 4-3 victory at one of the Premier Division’s promotion favourites Tadcaster Albion after coming from 3-1 down.
Oliver Graham’s equaliser on 42 minutes cancelled out the hosts opener only for Albion to restore the lead on the stroke of half-time before adding a third just past the hour.
But Sam Foulds tapped in for 3-2 on 69 minutes, Graham levelled three minutes later. And four minutes into time Graham hit the winner to complete his hat-trick.
Kieran Scargill gave Athersley Rec a 1-0 win at Armthorpe Welfare; while Penistone Church won 3-0 at Worsbrough through Lewis Dickinson (2) and Mark Crossfield.
Rossington Main pulled off a 3-1 home win over Knaresborough Town.
