Hallam ended a run of poor home form with a late 1-0 winner over Teversal at Sandygate.

The visitors had gone closest to breaking the deadlock rattling the crossbar from a free-kick. However, with game drifting towards a draw the crowd were treated to a goal with three minutes remaining. James Cook whipped in a cross towards Craig Getliff who thumped a shot into the roof of the net.

Handsworth remain six points clear at the top of the Division One table after easing to a 13th straight league win over Appleby Frodingham, 4-0 at Oliver Mount.

Gareth Griffiths nudged the hosts in front on 12 minutes with Sam Smith stretching the lead six minutes later from the penalty spot. Lee Hill added the third eight minutes after the break before Smith rounded off the scoring with far post header.

Worsbrough Bridge completed a league double over Rossington Main with a 4-0 win at Park Road.

Spencer Goff broke the deadlock on 51 minutes with a dipping volley from just outside the area. Dean Jones doubled the lead nine minutes later heading in a free-kick from close range. Scott Ruthven headed the third on 72 minutes from another free-kick before Rossington were undone from another set-piece four minutes later that saw Ruthven tuck away the fourth.

Askern Villa ended a run of three defeats on the spin with a 2-0 victory over Grimsby Borough at Manor Way. Jordan Irwin gave Villa a 20th minute lead from close range after Matt Holmes had flicked on a cross with Gary Collier sealing the points six minutes from time with a simple chance after the keeper had fumbled.

Maltby Main gave their Premier Division survival hopes a huge lift with a 3-1 win over neighbour Parkgate at Muglet Lane.

Thomas Foylten-Brown slotted home from a Greg Mason through ball to give the Miners a ninth minute lead. Parkgate levelled five minutes before the break courtesy of a Jon Wragg own-goal as the defender tried to head clear at a corner. But Rob Branagan restored the home side’s lead on the hour with an acrobatic overhead kick with Craig Gladwin tapping in a Scott Mellon cross to seal the points nine minutes from time.

*Dinnington captain Andy Sykes marked his 400th appearance for the club by guiding his side to a 3-2 away win over Eccleshill United.
