organisers of a cup competition which raises thousands of pounds every season for charity, may look at changing the date of a quarter-final tie between the top two teams left in as it clashes with a Rotherham United home game.
The Rotherham Charity Cup tie between leading Sunday sides AFP, the holders, and Joker, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20.
However, the Millers are at home to Wycombe the same night and it will have an effect on the attendance at the local tie, thus meaning less takings on the night to go into the competition’s coffers.
The other quarter-final ties are: Nov 6: Millmoor Juniors v Sunnyside; Nov 13: Memories v Reresby Arms; Nov 27: JSS Pot v New Keppel.
All the quarter-finals have been arranged for Herringthorpe Stadium at 7pm.
The final looks set to be at New York Stadium.
