DONCASTER Rovers Belles’ boss John Buckley is sweating over the fitness of several members of his squad ahead of tomorrow’s testing WSL clash away to leaders Arsenal.
Beth England picked up a knock playing for England Under-19s in midweek and both centre-back Julia Scott and attacking midfielder Precious Hamilton picked up hamstring injuries in last weekend’s home game against Bristol Academy
Both were rated ‘50-50’ by Buckley after Thursday night’s training session.
Belles, currently lying seventh in the eight-team league, have yet to win away from home and Buckley is making no rash predictions ahead of the game in the capital.
“They beat us 3-0 at home, though I thought we matched them in the first half,” he said.
“So we know it is going to be tough because they have been hammering everybody,” he said.
“I was disappointed with our performance against Bristol and I’m probably going to change things.
“I’m thinking of playing two up front and going down there and giving it a real go and see what happens.”
