HALLAM came from a goal down to win 4-1 at Baris NCEL Division One title chasers Pontefract Collieries.
It not only saw the Blues bounce back from Saturdays 6-4 home defeat against Albion Sports but also saw Julian Watts men avenge Collieries 3-1 win at Sandygate last month. The home side took the lead on 17 minutes through former Worsbrough Bridge striker Ryan Poskitt.
However, the home side’s joy was short lived as Hallam hit back to level within a minute, Liam Morris creating the opening for Aaron Moxam to score with a cool finish past the keeper.
The Blues grabbed the lead on 24 minutes when James Cook got away down the right to cross low for Morris to score with a diving header.
Hallam wrapped up the points with the third five minutes from time, the excellent Morris with his back to goal turning to find the bottom corner from just inside the box.
Pontefract squandered an 89th minute penalty before the Blues put the icing on the cake with the fourth in stoppage time, Craig Getliff converting from a Moxam free-kick.
Dinnington Town went down 2-0 at home against Eccleshill United. Andy Howland gave the visitors a 65th minute lead from distance with Andy Fieldhouse adding a second 10 minutes later.
Armthorpe Welfare drew 2-2 at Hall Road Rangers where they host snatched a stoppage time equaliser.
Last night’s Evo-Stik Division One South promotion clash between Sheffield FC and Stamford was postponed due to a waterlogged Dronfield pitch.
