Edlo take honours
DEFENDING Premier Division champions Edlington Town twice came from behind to beat Bawtry Town by the odd goal in five in their opening Doncaster Senior League clash of the season.
Jamie Greenwood put Bawtry ahead in the first half, Ricky Caudwell equalising. Anthony Walker restored the visitors advantage before Chris Colley and Craig Sticklen turned the tables.
An own goal led to Swinton Station Athletic winning their derby with AFC Sportsman Rovers 3-2. Shaun Wild got both Swinton's other goals, Stuart Brooks and Aaron Jacobson replying for Rovers.
Sutton Rovers gave a magnificent display to beat South Kirkby Colliery A 2-1.
Ben Adams marked his debut for Rovers with a goal and Danny Bell grabbed the winner with a 40 yard free-kick. Ben Moore was the Colliery marksman.
A hat-trick by Dan House put Retford Town in the way to a 5-1 triumph over Kinsley Boys. James Woodard and Lee Garner completing the nap hand. Tom Clarke notched the Kinsey consolation.
Callum Hardy scored both goals as South Elmsall United twice come from behind to force a draw 2-2 with Adwick Park Rangers.
First half strikes from Paul Green and Iain Devine secured Hemsworth Town A a 2-1 win at Yorkshire Main, for whom Chris Freeman reducing the arrears in the 65th minute.
Honours were shared 1-1 when FC Thorne Town entertained Rossington Main - Lee Dixon being the home marksman.
Newcomers Adwick Park Rangers Res received a baptism of fire in Division One, going down 11-0 at home to FC Tavern.
Geofrey Smith led the way with a four-goal haul and there were hat-tricks for both Jamie Hartley and Darren Brown. Kevin Hayes completed the scoring.
A brace of goals each from Richard Johnson, Scott Hayes and Lee McVeigh, gave Bramley Sunnyside a 6-1 triumph over Hemsworth Town B (Jamie Allen).
Anthony Nawn and Adrian Cowling were both on target twice as Bawtry Town Reserves won 4-1 at newcomers Doncaster Athletic, for whom Jermaine Green pulled a goal back.
Strikes from Alan Fawley and Keiron Bridges gave Carcroft Village a 2-0 success at Hatfield Main. Woodlands Rhinos beat Hemsworth MW 3-1. Joe Fisher finding the net twice with Jordan Lee also netting. Robbie Crapper was the Hemsworth marksman.
A 75th minute goal from Liam Hough earned Travellers FC a 1-0 victory over ISG Doncaster. Ackworth United accounted for Edlington Rangers 6-0. James Winder, Josh Appleton, Andy Wilson, Stuart Gordon, Rob Gordon and Chris Kirby shared out the goals.
South Kirkby B came from 2-0 down to beat Upton 5-2.
