BIRMINGHAM City’s Jade Moore has two reasons to be cheerful this month.
The holding midfield player from Dinnington is in contention to make her international debut in Zwolle, Holland, on October 27, just five days after her 21st birthday.
It is the first time Moore, whose former clubs include Doncaster Rovers Belles and Leeds Carnegie, has been called-up to the senior England side. She was notified of her selection in the squad by coach Hope Powell via email.
Moore, who helped Leeds lift the FA Women’s Premier League Cup in February 2010, has represented her country at Under-17, U-19 and U-23 levels and also featured at the last at the last two U-20 World Cups.
Adrian, her dad, said: “Jade is really excited and we are all very proud of her.”
