MK Dons stayed on the heels of the leading League One pack after a 4-3 win over Wycombe, who remain level on points with bottom club Chesterfield.

Dean Bowditch twice drew the hosts level after Stuart Beavon and Marcello Trotta had put Wanderers ahead, and Jabo Ibehre and Mathias Doumbe clinched victory despite Beavon’s late second.

Notts County, Brentford and Carlisle also strengthened their respective hands in the push for the play-off places with victories.

County were 3-2 winners over 10-man Scunthorpe, Jeff Hughes and Julian Kelly seeing them over the line after the Iron’s Oliver Norwood was sent off.

Scunthorpe had been leading 2-1 at the time of the red card after Andy Barcham and Bobby Grant overhauled Krystian Pearce’s opener.

Sam Saunders’ penalty earned Brentford a 2-1 win at Rochdale after Gary Alexander’s penalty had been equalised by Marcus Holness, while a single Paul Thirlwell strike was enough for Carlisle to beat Colchester.

Those wins lifted both teams above Stevenage, who were held to a goalless draw against Walsall, while David Amoo earned Bury a 1-0 win over Preston to keep them in the picture.

At the bottom, Yeovil moved three points clear of the bottom pair with a 1-0 win at Hartlepool thanks to Bondz N’Gala’s first-half goal.

Scot Bennett, Danny Coles and Richard Logan earned Exeter a 3-0 win over Tranmere, while Bournemouth and Oldham drew 0-0.
