Rovers: Doncaster Rovers latest news, reports and more.

DONCASTER Rovers have been hit by the resignation of four Board members this afternoon.

Little explanation has been given.

Chairman John Ryan issued a statement saying: “I regret to announce the resignations from the Board of directors of vice chairman Dick Watson, Terry Bramall, Andrew Watson and Sarah Kell.

“In Dick’s case he was advised to resign due to medical reasons and all four will be a great loss to the club.

I would like to pay tribute to the help they have given me over the last four or five years, particularly my vice chairman Dick Watson, during which time the club has advanced significantly.

“I cannot disguise the fact that this will come as a disappointment to our loyal supporters, not to mention myself, but we now have to look to the future.”

Although a Blade, I live in Doncaster and always want my home town team to do well. I was very surprised when JR announced that O'Driscoll was on 'gardening leave' because he had always stood by him. I don't know whowhat got to JR to induce him to introduce the current regime but it has been a disaster from the Manager to the mainly French loanees. I know Terry Bramall and for him to resign his position on the Board means that something is going badly wrong at the Keepmoat. I only hope that JR gets a grip on the situation.

What a shame that some people feel it is time to behave with disrespect. The members of the board seem to have left at the most difficult time for the Rovers, one who is ill so understandable. What will John Ryan do now? Will he look for money people to come in to support him. It is a shame that he hasn't received the support of the people who don't support their local town football team, maybe they should take some of the blame for disillusioned board members after JR has put his heart, soul and money into the challenging dream of seeing Doncaster becoming a successful premiership team

No it's to do with your impending relegation back to where you belong in league 1.Scunny won't be there for your local derby as they will be going down to league 2.Where does this leave the welsh wizzard Deano?.His position looks tenuous to say the least.Oh well Bennett can look forward to playing his pals down at Gigg lane next season.
