With his injury nightmare now firmly behind him, Martin Woods is a relieved man to have finally got to the root of the problem.
And, in another very honest interview, the midfielder is not the only one gritting his teeth for the cause - after revealing the somewhat unusual secret behind his and Chris Brown’s return to pristine physical condition.
Woods got through his first 90 minutes for 10 months against Leeds United last weekend, a sure sign that his prolonged struggle for fitness is now thankfully a thing of the past.
The 27-year-old is honest enough to admit that his constant niggles may not have been helped by a cosmetic procedure he had done on his teeth in 2011 - which contributed to his body being knocked ‘out of line’ and therefore unable to perform at its very best.
However, after visiting specialists at AC Milan earlier this year, Woods has worn a mouth ‘splint’ to re-align himself.
