Martin Woods admits it was like ‘playing drunk for two years’ after Milan medics discovered the midfielder had been running lob-sided which was causing his injuries.
The Rovers returnee had spent the latter part of his six-year term with the club on the sidelines nursing a groin injury which eventually led to him being released by Doncaster.
Before his sensational recent return to Doncaster, part of Woods’ rehabilitation included the 27-year-old travelling to Italy to get to the bottom of his injuries at AC Milan’s lab.
Doctors found that Woods had incredibly been playing leaning a stone to his right side which had in turn helped to cause his injuries.
