Doncaster Rovers today signed Sheffield Wednesday left-back Tommy Spurr on a two-year deal.
The fee has not been disclosed.
Spurr slipped down the pecking order at after manager Gary Megson’s arrival earlier this year.
Spurr said: “When I knew Doncaster was interested, I was more than delighted to speak to them and over the moon to sign, as I knew Wednesday were not wanting to keep me.
“When I spoke to Sean, he made me feel like he wanted me to come and play for him.
“The decision to sign was a no-brainer, especially with Rovers being a Championship club, as you always want to play at the highest level you can.”
