ROVERS youngsters, who recently booked their place in the Northern Area final of the Football League Alliance Cup, maintained their recent good form with a 1-0 league win over Lincoln City.

“It was another difficult game, but the lads adapted to it very well,” said coach Paul Stancliffe. “There wasn’t very much grass on the pitch, it was hard too, so the ball was bobbling about. The game was a battle but once again they’ve come out of it with a good win.

“The lads are enjoying the run they are on and deserve it too. Sometimes things don’t go your way but they are working hard in training and they’re getting the rewards.

“When the conditions allow, the football they play is really good. But now they are proving they can do the ugly side of the game when conditions aren’t favourable.

“I said to the lads they need to enjoy it. When they come away from a game having enjoyed it that’s when you know things are going well.
