HAVING supported Wolves as a youngster, Doncaster Rovers defender James Chambers has more reason than most of his teammates for looking forward to tonight's FA Cup third round replay at Molyneux.
"It won't be the first time I've played there," he said.
"I was in the team when we played them in the last game of the season the year they were promoted back to the Premier League.
"I also played there with Leicester and I might also have played there when I was at West Bromwich Albion.
"It was a bit special playing at Molyneux the first time having been a supporter, but as you get older and you've played there a couple of times before the novelty wears off."
Even so, the right-back admitted that he was excited when the clubs were paired together.
He said: "I think the beauty of the FA Cup is that there are certain draws that players, managers and fans will look forward to and, for me, Wolves is one of them.
"I was still out injured when the draw was made but it was a game that I wanted to play in. Fortunately I made my first start of the season when we drew 2-2 against them at home ten days ago. Hopefully I'll be involved some way in the replay."
Having had the chance take a close look at Wolves in his hour-long run, Chambers says that both he and his Rovers' teammates will have a better idea of what to expect from Mick McCarthy's side tonight.
"They are a good side obviously," he said. "They've got a lot of quality in their squad, but hopefully we can find a way past them."
