He might not have played the amount of games he would have liked but Jordan Bowery is not a man with regrets.
Bowery was handed the Premier League dream just two months after his 21st birthday when he was plucked from League Two Chesterfield for a cool £500,000 by Aston Villa.
Eighteen months on and the dream move has not developed into exactly what the striker would have hoped.
The 22-year-old has struggled to hold down a place on the bench at Villa who have preferred tried and tested names such as Gabriel Agbonlahor and Christian Benteke.
Frustration over a lack of games led to Bowery going cap in hand to boss Paul Lambert, pleading to be let out on loan.
Things might not have turned out as planned so far, but Bowery would never change his mind with hindsight.
“There’s no way you can turn down a move like that.”
