DONCASTER Rovers’ manager Dean Saunders made his second signing of the summer with experienced Welsh International midfielder David Cotterill joining the squad on a two -ear deal this afternoon.

The 5’ 9” Cardiff-born winger started his career at Bristol City where he scored eight goals in 62 appearances before joining Wigan for £2 million in 2006.

He made 18 appearances for Wigan in the Premier League.

The 24 year-old joined Sheffield United on loan during the 2007-08 season to get more match action, playing 16 games during the season.

He signed permanently for the Blades during the summer for undisclosed fee and went on to make another 38 appearances for the Bramall Lane side.

He joined Swansea City on loan before signing for them in in 2010 and made 39 appearances in the Championship before a 15 game loan spell at Portsmouth in 2011.

He stayed at Portsmouth until the end of the 2010-11 season. He was released by mutual consent from Swansea in January before joining Barnsley in February.

He made six appearances for the Tykes, scoring one goal.
