FORMER Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws and ex Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O’Driscoll could be competing to be the next Portsmouth boss.
Pompey have had more than 50 applications for the Fratton Park vacancy following Steve Cotterill’s departure for Nottingham Forest.
O’Driscoll, 54, is the current favourite, but Laws, 51, has now publicly admitted his interest as he looks to get back into management after leaving Pompey’s Championship rivals Burnley at the start of the year.
“I have shown interest in the Portsmouth the job,” Laws told The Portsmouth News.
“But that is as much as I will say at the moment.”
