Rovers’ final five run in may look intimidating but Paul Dickov is lapping it up.

In fact, Dickov believes his side will not lose again this season.

Rovers face four teams with top six interest over the next three weeks – starting with a trip to Ipswich this afternoon – and Dickov gives the impression that is exactly the way he would have wanted them to see out their season, even with the threat of relegation still in the air.

“We have consistently shown that we do well against the top teams so I’m more than confident about this run,” Dickov said.

“We had the Barnsley, Yeovil and Bournemouth games and everyone outside our group was saying we were going to pick up seven or nine points.

“We picked up one.

“After those three we had Huddersfield, Nottingham Forest, Watford and Sheffield Wednesday and people were wondering where we were going to get points from.

“And we went and picked up ten out of 12.

“Possibly the same expectation thing with the Barnsley, Bournemouth and Yeovil run happened with the Birmingham and Bolton games.

“But I think the next few games are going to see a similar pattern as the last six weeks or so.

“We’ve got five games left and I believe we can go unbeaten in those five games.”

Dean Furman is set to come in for the injured Richie Wellens at Portman Road this afternoon while Gabriel Tamas is likely to replace Lucas Neill.
