FREDERIC Piquionne is poised to make his Doncaster Rovers debut at Nottingham Forest tonight having joined the Championship strugglers on an initial one-month loan deal from West Ham, writes Dom Howson.
The former French international has made 21 first-team appearances at Upton Park, scoring twice, this term but has been deemed surplus to requirements by Hammers boss Sam Allardyce.
The 33-year-old has been with West Ham since July 2010 when he joined them from Lyon for an undisclosed fee. He has also played for Portsmouth.
Piquionne said: “I have been involved in scraps like this before at some of my previous clubs and I’m ready.
“In my head I’m a warrior and I will fight to keep Doncaster in the Championship.”
