DONCASTER Rovers have swooped to sign Leeds United striker Billy Paynter, writes Dom Howson.
Subject to paperwork, Paynter has penned a two-year deal at the Keepmoat Stadium and is set to make his debut in their clash at Walsall this Saturday.
Paynter, aged 28, was placed on the transfer list by ex-Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock at the end of last season. The former Swindon Town forward struck just three goals in 28 appearances for Leeds United. He started just two times last year and made two substitute appearances.
