All eyes will be on Darren Ferguson as he makes his return to Peterborough United today with Doncaster Rovers.

But Ferguson insists today is about his Rovers side picking up another win as he looks to get them climbing up the League One table.

“It’s not going to be about me on Saturday afternoon,” the new Rovers boss said. “It’s going to be about Doncaster Rovers and getting three points.

“It’s as simple as that.

“It’s really just a case of going there, getting a result, wishing them all the best and moving on.”

Ferguson was in charge of Posh for almost seven years over two spells, which brought three promotions and a Johnstone’s Pain Trophy triumph.

He left London Road for a second time in February after the club’s promotion push faltered.

And he admits it will be good to see plenty of familiar faces.

Ferguson said: “It’ll be nice. I’ve not had much time to think about it to be honest.

“The chairman emailed to congratulate me on getting the Donny job but he’s not emailed me this week.

“Hopefully I’ll get a good reception but that’s not going to be my main priority. Going back and getting three points is my priority.

“Peterborough look like they’re an attacking team again, scoring a lot and conceding a lot – I can remember that.

“It could be an entertaining game.

“We’re going to have to be disciplined to a degree.

“Something I’ve touched on with the players is that Peterborough and a Graham Westley side never know when they’re beat. They just keep going.

“We’ve got to be mindful of that and make sure they don’t outwork us.”
