CONTROVERSIAL striker El Hadji Diouf is set to have played his last game for Doncaster Rovers.
The Senegalese international is sidelined with a hamstring problem sustained at Leicester City and manager Dean Saunders says he would be “surprised” if he regains fitness before the end of their Championship programme.
The 31-year-old, who was reportedly arrested after a nightclub brawl in Manchester over the weekend which left a man seriously hurt, is contracted to the club until the end of the season.
However, following Rovers’ relegation to League One, it is doubtful the club can afford to keep Diouf on their books.
Saunders said: “El Hadji is struggling with his hamstring and if he gets it right in the next fortnight I will be surprised.”
Of the latest alleged incident involving Diouf, Saunders: “I don’t know what might happen. What will be will be.”
