Doncaster Rovers gave their fans a belated Christmas present with a thoroughly deserved Boxing Day win over Coventry City.
Andy Butler and the enigmatic Harry Forrester - who produced a scintillating performance on the wing - scored first half goals to lift Doncaster up to 13th in League One.
Rovers’ 2-0 success - which completed back-to-back league wins for the very first time this season - was their first win at the Keepmoat Stadium since September 20 and only their second home win of the campaign.
Delighted boss Paul Dickov said: “We felt it’s been coming.
“I know a few people have been critical of the last few performances at home, and possibly rightly so because we’ve not won.
“We really wanted to finish the year here at the Keepmoat with a win and I thought it was deserved.”
