Doncaster Rovers beat Hull City

Have your say

ROB Jones had a difficult start to his career at Doncaster Rovers tonight, but his new team still beat Hull City 3-1.

The former Sheffield Wednesday captain scored an own goal to give Hull a lead in their friendly at the Keepmoat stadium.

The score remained 0-1 at half time.

In the second half Rovers took their east Yorkshire neighbours to task, Martin Woods bringing his team level.

Dean Saunders’ men grabbed a deserved lead when former Luton man Amari Morgan Smith notched, following good work from Bennett and Hawley.

A Woods penalty turned a rainy evening into a joyous one for the home crowd.

Man of the match: Kyle Bennett.
