Have your say

Players, coaches and the football workforce throughout Sheffield & Hallamshire FA can again have their say on the future of the grassroots game locally by taking part in a new online survey. For the fourth consecutive year, The Sheffield & Hallamshire FA is targeting grassroots stakeholders to voice their opinions on subjects such as the work that is carried out at a local level by Sheffield & Hallamshire FA and the highly publicised RESPECT programme via The FA’s Big Grassroots Football Survey.

As a thank you for taking time out to complete the survey, individuals will be entered into a prize draw to win a number of prizes from Sheffield & Hallamshiincluding a £50 Voucher to redeem at SoccerSceneStore.com, an Errea FIFA Inspected Ball Package, and a First Aid Kit. The FA are also offering prizes including tickets to an England match at Wembley Stadium, the home of football, Wembley Stadium Tours and there are also vouchers to spend at The FA’s on line store.

“Sheffield & Hallamshire FA Chief Executive, James Hope-Gill commented: “Our football workforce has shaped The FA`s National Game Strategy which resulted in a four year investment worth £220m, across the country from The Football Association to support grassroots football.

“Last year, 68% of our stakeholders thought we were doing a good job of promoting and developing the grassroots game in the area. Once again, we’re looking for the voice of local football people to tell us how we’re doing, also importantly, we want to know what people involved in the game think still needs to be done to keep the grassroots game heading in a positive direction.

“The National Game Strategy has seen the national decline in 11 aside football halted, participation in many areas is up, the numbers of referees and coaches has increased and the Respect programme has helped us turn the corner in making the game a more enjoyable environment. However we are not resting on our laurels and it is crucial that stakeholders take part in the survey to ensure that we as Sheffield & Hallamshire FA go from strength to strength with quality football opportunities for all.” The Big Grassroots Football Survey can be accessed at www.SheffieldFA.com while hard copies of the survey are also available by contacting 0114 241 4999.
