After the sudden resignation of manager Chris Dolby, Sheffield FC got back to the business.
Unfortunately it was not to be a winning start for stand-in boss Ian Whitehorne as Club slipped to a third defeat on the bounce and fifth game without a win as Glapwell won 3-1 at Dronfield.
Ant Lynam went close to giving Club the lead, cutting inside and firing just over the crossbar. But it was the visitors that broke the deadlock, Ian Holmes heading in a cross to the far post from close range. Sheffield however were level nine minutes later when Jamie Hadfield headed in from a free-kick. Callum Harrison saw his 25-yard effort pushed over the bar just before the break. But the visitors regained the lead after the interval when Adam Kimberley fired an unstoppable effort into the top corner from outside the area. Glapwell wrapped up the points with the third through Conner Higginson. In the Koolsport Division 1, Worsbrough Bridge Athletic were beaten 4-2 by Leeds Carnegie after strikes from Adam Podmore and Rob Uttley had seen the home side come back from 2-0 down.
