Saturday will be the fourth encounter between Chesterfield and Walsall this season.
In League One action, Spireites were 2-1 victors at the Bescot Stadium.
The two clubs then met in the FA Cup second round.
In the first leg, Spireites held Walsall to a 1-1 draw, with both sides under the careful watch of caretaker managers.
And neither side found the net in the replay, so after a goalless 120 minutes the Saddlers progressed on penalties.
Looking ahead to Saturday’s game at the Proact, Spireites writer Graham Smyth says the pressure will be on the visitors, not the hosts.
