Chesterfield’s goal rush against Colchester United took some people by surprise and for others even caused them to lose count.

Foremer Oldham, Crystal Palace and Hull boss Iain Dowie ws reporting on the game for Sky Sports News when the third goal of a 6-0 romp by the Spireites was scored by Sam Clucas.

However, the former Northern Ireland international, who has a degree in engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, got himself in a bit of a muddle and shouted ‘3-0!’ while holding up four fingers.

Thankfully for Dowie he left the gestures out of his remaining report...who knows how many fingers he’d have held up by the time Gary Roberts had fired hom the penalty to make it six!
