LEAGUE Two leaders Chesterfield managed only a goalless draw against promotion chasing Torquay and it could have handed the title to second place rivals Bury, writes Graham Walker.

The Spireites might up in second place - on goal difference - if Bury beat Wycombe at home on Saturday.

It would mean the two rivals, with a game each left to play, would both have 83 points.

But Bury also has a two goal advantage.

And if Bury was to lose tomorrow, it would then all come down to the last game of the season.

Torquay United’s play-off hopes were also left hanging in the balance in a frustrating night for both teams.

The home side move up to sixth, level on points with Stevenage and Gillingham, but having played a game more.
