Spireites manager Paul Cook hopes to have talisman Gary Roberts (hamstring) and skipper Ian Evatt (concussion) available for the trip to Rochdale this weekend, as he searches for the winning formula once again.
Spireites lost three on the bounce back in October before picking up a point at home to Yeovil Town, a seemingly disappointing result in itself at the time, but a scoreline that started a run of just one defeat in nine league games that saw the Proact side return to the play-off fringes.
Chesterfield’s trip to Bradford City, due on Saturday March 7, has been postponed due to the Bantams’ continued involvement in the FA Cup. No alternative date has yet been set for the fixture.
Two positives that came from Spireites third straight defeat at Scunthorpe United in midweek, were the first league starts made by defender Ashley Carter and winger Gboly Ariyibi.
Both players will be unlucky not to feature in Saturday’s team to take on Dale at Spotland.
