Spireites boss Dean Saunders is considering shaking up his side in a bid to find some consistency as they prepare for this evening’s game at Doncaster Rovers.

With an eye on the concessions the team has made in the last couple of games, the manager could start with a reshuffle in the back four.

He said of the goals conceded: "It’s something we’ve got to put right now; we shouldn’t have lost against Oldham, we shouldn’t have lost at Port Vale, so we’ve now got two games this week, Tuesday and Saturday, to put things right.

"If we get six points from them, it’s not too bad but we’ve got to keep on working on the training pitch, keep working on the things that are costing us and if players don’t get it, I’ll have to do something about it and give some of the others a chance."

Whilst being frustrated with the goals conceded, Saunders was both complimentary and critical of his team’s play further up the park. The former Rovers boss added: "I was pleased with the spirit of the players, they fought, they never gave up and we passed the ball well, some of our football was brilliant.

"But it’s no good entertaining the crowd and letting three goals in and not taking the chances you create or wasting your crosses. Our final ball into the box wasn’t good enough so we’ll be working on that before going to Doncaster."

Saunders will be hoping Mani Dieseruvwe recovers from the virus that caused him to miss the Vale trip whilst scorer off the bench, Rai Simons, could be rewarded with a start with league ever present Dan Gardner under pressure.

Defenders Drew Talbot and Charlie Raglan will be hoping for a recall in the light of the backline shipping five goals in the last two games
