THERE looks set to be a huge crowd at The Valley for Spireites’ trip there at the weekend.
Unbeaten League leaders Charlton Athletic are running a special offer of just £5 a ticket.
Last season they ran a similar offer in February against Exeter City, and more than 24,000 fans flocked to the South London ground.
Tickets are again selling well and the visitors will have well over 1,000 fans there for a match 150 miles away.
Exeter managed a 3-1 win there last season, so John Sheridan’s side will be hoping for a similar result against the side that won 3-2 at Rochdale last weekend.
With no fresh injuries reported from Chesterfield’s excellent 4-1 win over Carlisle United on Saturday, Spireites could be unchanged.
If that’s the case, it will be exactly one year since Sheridan picked the same 11 two games on the trot.
A 3-0 home win against Cheltenham Town saw his pick the same side for a trip to the Don Valley Stadium, where Rotherham United won 1-0 with a goal from Adam Le Fondre, a defeat that was followed by a run of nine games without defeat.
Mark Randall, Dean Morgan and Dean Holden will all be hoping for a recall but the best they can hope for is a spot on the bench.
