Caolan Lavery will remain with Chesterfield after extending his loan deal for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old striker has been at the Proact Stadium since deadline day of the winter transfer window.
He has scored three goals in seven appearances for the Spireites including two in his last two games.
Owls boss Stuart Gray said last week he would be inserting a 24 hour recall clause into Lavery’s new loan deal with Chesterfield.
Gray said: “Caolan’s missed a lot of football. I think it was probably four or five months he was out with his knee injury, so a big chunk of his season.
I just felt he needs game time. I’m pleased for him he’s scoring goals at Chesterfield.
“I’ve got Atdhe Nuhiu and Will Keane up front at the minute, Stevie May waiting, Chris Maguire who can play there and Sergiu Bus to come in when he’s fit.
“I’m happy Lavs is out there playing games. But we have that recall clause if we need him.”
