it’s a long way to Yeovil and it was nearly spoilt for Sheffield Wednesday’s weary bunch of travellers by some dodgy play from Yeovil to equalise.

Understandably sympathy was a bit thin on the ground from Unitedites.

LDN RD Blade on wrote: “Ha ha just seen the goal on Sky, comedy gold.”

Owls fan s6t9er responded by recalling when the Blades had been on the end of similar instance at Arsenal in 1999: “At least Megson didn’t throw a strop during game time and march the players off. I hope we get the chance to do the same to you at the stain, doubt you’d find it so funny then.”

Probably not, is the answer to that.

Devonwiseowl suggested that Wednesday’s defence was to blame: “The fiasco for Yeovil’s goal was typical of our recent defending. Happy with the 3 points though.”

That man LDN RD Blade was back again to disect United’s win over Colchester.

“Although we played good football we gave them too many chances s better team would have scored a few of them. Having said that it could’ve been 7-3. Hopefully we can get a good result Saturday before squeaky bum time in October.”

Chesterfield are beginning to fire on all cylinders after John Sheridan’s dipped into the loan market.

On S40-fan commented: “Not really a debate, just wanted to say a huge thank you to ALL the team and management and Carlisle Utd for a great afternoon of football.

“A fantastic team effort led to the best performance I’ve witnessed at the B2Net. Let’s hope it’s the first of many. Come on Spireites!”

While over on the 3-3 draw at Torquay led to a mixed reaction from Deano83: “Everyone in the pub after will tell you it felt like a defeat, we were really excellent for the first half and still created enough second half, could have been five or six it’s just really annoying and frustrating that these errors are costing us early points to try and pull away. But the lads will know that. The pack has bunched up a bit the past two games”

And at patience was beginning to wear thin for scarboroughrover1: “At any other club, in any other division we wouldn’t even be having the current SOD debate...he would have been sacked long ago. John Ryan’s loyalty is great, but I’m sorry, it’s time to go.”
