Chesterfield marched into the FA Cup second round with a 6-0 win at Vanarama Conference side Braintree Town.
Leading scorer Eoin Doyle got the first after 20 minutes with a close-range right-foot shot.
And Jay O’Shea doubled the lead 10 minutes later with a shot into the top corner.
A third close-range effort, by Sam Clucas, made it 3-0 just before half-time.
It was four with a stunning Gary Roberts left-footer from outside the area in the 53rd minute.
And the fifth came in the 70th minute, courtesy of an own goal by Remi Clerima 16 minutes from time.
Doyle completed his double with the sixth, in the third minute of time added on, his right-foot shot from outside the area going into the bottom corner of the net.
