The good vibes are back at Chesterfield, says manager Paul Cook.
Consecutive wins on the road have propelled the Spireites to the top of League Two and Cook said the Proact Stadium is a happy place to be at present.
He said: “There is a good vibe about the club at the minute. The lads are in a good place and very much together. I’ve got probably 20 players I’m trying to keep happy. It’s easy to keep Tommy Lee happy, or Liam Cooper happy or Gary Roberts.
“The difficult ones are the ones who aren’t coming on because you want to cajole and keep everyone on side because when you’ve got a happy club, everyone’s winning there is no better place.”
Chesterfield maintained their fantastic run at Bootham Crescent, which sees the club unbeaten at the home of York City since April 1990.
Goals from Eoin Doyle and Gary Roberts saw the Spireites overtake Scunthorpe United - who Chesterfield travel to on February 8 - at the top.
And, with 18 league games remaining, Cook’s side entertain Bristol Rovers at the Proact Stadium on Saturday.
