With Barnsley and other clubs said to be very keen on the winger, the Spireites could earn close to a million if they part with his services.

But as he continues to improve under Danny Wilson’s management, his services could be vital for Chesterfield this season.

The problem the Spireites have is that he’s in the last year of his contract and won’t sign a new deal.

If he doesn’t go now, it seems likely he’ll move in the January transfer window but he’ll definitely be gone by the time the summer rolls around.
