RELEGATION-threatened Chesterfield take on Notts County, who are under new management, at Meadow Lane tomorrow.

The Magpies won their first game under the guidance of new boss Keith Curle, formerly of Sheffield United, on Wednesday when Jeff Hughes scored an injury time winner to beat Stevenage.

Spireites assistant manager Tommy Wright was at the game to observe what changes Curle may have made to County’s approach following the surprise sacking of Martin Allen after last Saturday’s 3-0 loss at Hartlepool United.

The visitors will be hoping the exertions of that midweek game will work in their favour and they’ll be looking to carry forward the form shown in the second half of the 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday into another derby game.

Gregor Robertson (hamstring) is ruled out, meaning Liam Ridehalgh will start at left back. Dean Morgan, scorer of the penalty against the Owls, is likely to start up front alongside Jack Lester while loanee Nicky Ajose may be deployed on the left flank.

David Davis should shake off a virus while Josh Thompson is in contention to play at right-back.
