League Two’s top tie, Oxford United v Chesterfield, pits together the section’s only two unbeaten sides today.
Paul Cook’s biggest problems continue to be who to name on the bench. He said leaving Jamie Devitt off the bench last weekend for the 2-0 win over AFC Wimbledon was: “one of the hardest things I’ve had to do as a manager. He’s been brilliant in training and in behind closed doors fixtures.”
With an embarrassment of riches to select from and a small injury list, Nathan Smith (ankle) is the only normal starter unavailable.
“The lads on the bench are all chomping at the bit, desperate to play,” he said ahead of what’s sure to be a tense side.
But he concluded: “We’re going there to win, we’ll not sit back and with Oxford wanting to win as well, it’s sure to be a good game.”
