Despite having won two in a row in League One, Morgan knows that relegation-threatened Chesterield face a tough afternoon at high-flying Posh.

Peterbough have won five of their last eight league matches, while Chesterield boast the second worst away record in the league with just one win under their belt.

“It will be a tricky game, they are a good side. It’s usually, and always has been over the years, a tough place to go,” said Morgan.

“They have always got good footballers and they will be competitive. They will try and play football and they have a lot of pace in the team.

“They look to be aggressive with their forward movements and they way they want to play football.

“We will always go in to games like this as underdogs while our league position is as it is.

Morgan happy with response to Wycombe inquest“Peterborough will think they have a good chance of beating us, which is great from our point of view.

“We can certainly surprise people as we have shown. We have won five out of the last eight and shown we can compete and have character.

“When teams are near the bottom it is dangerous to take them lightly.”

He added “We will touch on Peterborough and identify their strengths and weaknesses, as we do with every opposition.

“But really it is about what we do and we need to make sure we are prepared as as team and know what we want to do.

“We need to make sure we are right and ready to play. It’s a fine line, you can spend a lot of the week preparing for the opposition, but when you get there they have made four or five changes.

“It will be a good test, but one we are looking forward to.”
